Tutorial: Felt bunny ears for Easter! Make a pompom crown with feltears, or a sweet headband with lop ears! What kind of bunny are you?

I was invited this past Sunday to a wonderful pre-Easter brunch at my fabulous friend Alex's new little cottage home. Included in the invite was the phrase "Bonus points for bunny costumes." Now, most of you know I'm not one to pass up an opportunity to be in costume so I decided to make a smashing pair of bunny ears to wear to the fete, and they turned out so well I thought I'd write a little tutorial! These would be great to make with kids, as they could make the pom poms, and cut and color their own ears, though an adult should do the hot glue step. And as it turns out, Alex was the only other person who wore bunny ears, and hers were so different yet uncannily similar to mine that we had to partner up! Her version of lop-ears are very quick and easy, and endlessly charming, and you can scroll down to find the tutorial. So which kind of bunny are you? Easter Round-Up

Easter has always been a special holiday for me. I'm not religious but rather I like to celebrate it as a welcoming of spring, and the simple ways we celebrate are such great symbols for the rebirth of the land. I'll be heading to a friend's house for a brunch of crepes and sweets in celebration of her pet bunnies' birthdays! I promise to myself and all my readers that I will NOT forget the camera! I found two pages that have lists of links to all kinds of adorable Easter projects that take practically no time at all, or that you can do with friends and family on the holiday itself. First, there's Brit + Co. with their list of 40 creative ways to dye Easter eggs . I still love dying eggs or making something funny with them every year, as evidenced here and here . If you think you're too old you are waaaay wrong, just try it and...

Happy Easter!

My parents came up to visit me recently and brought me some truly precious treasures from my childhood. They cleaned out the rafters and brought me some awesome relics, including my collections of action figures, Breyer horses, and Beanie Babies (Ha!) that I thought were lost to the ages. But the most precious of all, pictured above, were two minuscule Easter baskets I made for them when I was in middle school, probably the year 2000. Yup, they're that small. And guess what they're made out of? No, not plastic, but REAL EGGS! I don't know how I ever made such things as a kid; I could barely set them up to photograph them today! I remember it clear as day, using cuticle scissors to cut tiny pieces out of a hollowed-out egg. I think I broke 2 or 3 before I got two good ones. And the bases are paper pieces that I cut out of a doily. I can't even see the glue where I attached them, but they're on there real good! I filled the basket with tiny toys, ...
