New Year's Cleanse

I'm working on reorganizing my craft stuff, and this includes getting rid of as much of it as I can bare to. And instead of sending it off to a thrift store I thought I could give some of it away on here to my readers who need it. With money being tight for most everyone these days I'm sure there's someone out there who will love to have these things. So, up for grabs to good homes on a first-come first-serve basis are:
*A copy of The Country Store by Stephanie Donaldson. I absolutely adore this book. It has chapters on everything from gardening, to preserving, giving, aromatherapy, hebcrafts, and medicinal herbs. It even shows you how to store fruits and vegetables without canning to last thru the winter. My mother got me the paperback version of this book for Christmas, which for some reason is now published with the title Country Traditions. Since the paperback is slightly thinner and I need every millimeter of bookshelf space I can get I decided to let the old one go.
*A big pile of Chinese satin materials. Some are large scraps, but most are fat quarters or larger. I just don't ever use satin for anything and I don't enjoy sewing with it; too slippery for my taste. So to gain some space I'm letting it all go.
*A book of folk art animal applique designs. It's cute, but I rarely applique so I figure someone else out there can put it to better use.
*And lastly, I've got a stack of halloween cotton quilting fabrics (sorry no pics). They're mostly 1/4 yards and large scraps, but I know I'll never use them even though there's some really cute ones in there. Lots of blue, orange, and black designs featuring cartoony and folksy ghosts, skulls, cats, etc.
*Alrighty then. Leave a comment as to what you'd like to have and a way to contact you and the first one to claim it gets it!

Hi, I love your blog and have been reading it for at least a year now. I have to say this is an incredibly generous idea. I would love to take a crack at your book "The Country Store" by Stephanie Donaldson. Only if you are still interested in handing off your craft book. Thanks and keep blogging!

  4. Yay! Thank you Angela for wanting to give the fabric a good home. I'll try to remember to take a good photo of the Halloween fabric in hopes of getting it a home as well.

  5. The Halloween Fabrics have been spoken for! Also, I found some little applique's that were cut off of a purse to include with the applique book, anyone want it?

I would LOVE the folk art book, if no one has claimed it yet. And I'd love to hear how you've been! I still have sweet Gertrude on my sewing table :).
