Day Six - Giveaway!
Whew! I was just about to change into my pj's when I realized that I forgot to take a picture of my outfit today! So, sorry for the bad pic, but this is me in poor lighting after a long day of work and then a few hours digging in the garden, which is now finally finished!
The mushroom skirt and the first shirt I ever sewed. See how the collar kind of sticks up? Oh yeah, I totally meant to do that... Riiiight... Anywho, I am really enjoying this whole challenge and I cannot wait till Sunday so I can spend the entire day sewing more clothes! Woot!
Now for the giveaway: I have a big piece of jersey knit fabric in a fun blue and green leafy stripe that I have no idea what to do with, it is just not fitting in with my current wardrobe plans. In celebration of the new t-shirt tutorial, I will gladly send it to the first person who can guess what this is going to eventually become:
Be sure to leave me some way to contact you! Good luck and see you tomorrow!
Ohohohohoh! I would like some T-shirt fabric! Ummm, it's going to be a pretty rosette? Oh I'm not sure, agh! Can you tell I'm panicking?!
ReplyDeleteThe t-shirt tutorial looks awesome BTW. I'm in awe that you have the time to work, make heaps of sweet clothes AND produce tutorials! I could massively take a leaf out of your book and stop wasting time on the internet and get more done.

a hat ?... mom
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, just let me say that your outfit today was just too cute! It looks like while you were out playing in the dirt that you got a bit of sun, too! :) I'm going to guess that you are making a hair barrette... that's just what it looks like it could be when it grows up to me. But you like to do applique on your clothes, too - so it's difficult to say for sure. I'm sticking with hair barrette though...

I've really been enjoying your Me-Made-May posts - very inspiring!! Thank you!
My guess? Sunbonnet/hat of some sort...
ReplyDeleteIs it going to be a show ribbon? I love the dots.
ReplyDeleteI guess a brooch for you cape, but many things past through my brain- like a decorative cap or the start of a frilly bra :) (hehe) Anyway- it will be beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI love your top and wouldn't have noticed the collar if you hadn't pointed it out. We're definitely our own worst critics, lol :)
ReplyDeleteHmmm...is that going to be a floral brooch? Perhaps a poppy.
I am going to guess a flower headband/hair piece.
ReplyDelete:D thanks for the t-shirt tutorial.
I'd guess that it's either going to be a headband or a belt. My first thought was a brooch though.

A hat!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI think it is going to be embellishment for a shirt.
ReplyDeleteI also love the ribbon dispenser you have
@Zoe: Lol, nope, not a rosette! Thanks for the compliment, but I never feel like I do enough crafty stuff. There are people out there with blogs that make me feel like a lazy bum.
ReplyDelete@Everyone else... Some of you are so very close, but I am looking for a very specific word. Feel free to submit more than one guess, go for it!
Is it going to be a Fascinator?
ReplyDeleteLove your mushroom skirt, very cute!
A toque....I am not giving up on the hat idea! ;) And not the chef's hat but the french term for toque.
ReplyDeleteAlrighty! Since no one has guessed it spot-on yet, I will tell you...
ReplyDeleteI was looking for the words *sun hat* but I suppose *hat* will have to do, but mom said she did not think she would need the fabric to sew a t-shirt. I will send her a runner-up prize that she will like instead *wink*.
So the pretty fabric will go to See Jane Sew, who got as close as anyone could!
And for her enthusiasm and for also guessing rightish, I will send some jersey fabric of a different kind to Mama G! Everyone wins!!! Lol. Thanks to everyone who played, and I will keep you informed as to the progress of the sun hat.
Hi Chase, just wanted to let you know that I'm presenting you with this award!:
